Ralph Contreras Jr., 40, admitted to receiving and distributing illegal content via social media apps over a four-month period.

He specifically sought out material depicting prepubescent minors. At the time of his arrest, he was employed as a corrections sergeant at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla.
Contreras pleaded guilty on April 13, 2026. On July 13, 2026, U.S. District Judge Kirk E. Sherriff sentenced him to 15 years in prison for receipt and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Barton.
