A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times during a physical altercation at the Merced County Fair on Sunday night. Deputies from the Merced County Sheriff's Office, who were already on-site providing security at the fairgrounds, responded to the Carnival area following reports of a fight.
Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from several stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported the teenager to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Authorities have arrested three suspects in connection with the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident cast a shadow over the annual fair, which draws families and residents from across Merced County.
