Twin Brothers, Father Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Canoga Park

A tragic incident unfolded Sunday evening in Canoga Park, where a man and his two young twin sons were discovered dead in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a residence on Owensmouth Avenue near Strathern Street, across from Lanark Park, around 7:15 p.m.

after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon entering the home, officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

The children, both approximately 10 years old, were identified as twin brothers. Investigators named the suspected gunman as the boys' father.

The shooting occurred during a birthday celebration, though it remains unclear who the party was intended to honor. A large police presence surrounded the area Sunday night as investigators processed the scene, with patrol vehicles from the LAPD and units from the Los Angeles Fire Department responding.
