Trump emite una nueva advertencia a Irán mientras el alto el fuego se desmorona

politics, economy, war, energy

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Wednesday, stating that the nation will 'pay the price' for its latest retaliatory strikes against U.S. allies, as a fragile truce in the region teeters on the edge of collapse.

The warning came after Iran launched attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan—all countries hosting U.S. troops—in response to earlier U.S.

and Israeli military actions. This marks the second time this week that both sides have violated the ceasefire, following an exchange of strikes between Iran and Israel on Monday.

Trump took to Truth Social to denounce Iran's military capabilities, writing, 'Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore - They have been completely defeated.

Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!' The president's comments came after he had earlier expressed optimism about a potential deal, stating that the U.S.

and Iran were 'in the final throes of what will be a very, very good deal.'

Despite the diplomatic rhetoric, the conflict has escalated dramatically. Iran's retaliatory strikes on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan have raised serious doubts about the durability of ceasefire efforts.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei have indicated that Tehran will review its position on negotiations in light of the latest attacks. Iran continues to insist that any agreement to end the war must also halt fighting between its ally Hezbollah and Israel, but Israel has intensified its military campaign against the militant group.

At the heart of the conflict is Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil and natural gas supplies. The U.S.

has demanded that Tehran relinquish its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. In response, Trump imposed a U.S.

Naval blockade aimed at cutting off Iranian oil revenue and preventing what Washington describes as illegal tolls collected by Tehran from vessels transiting the strait. Trump boasted on social media about the blockade's effectiveness, claiming, 'NOTHING GETS THROUGH unless we want it to.

IT IS A STEEL WALL! Iran is doing ZERO business, not paying their military, or any of their bills, and quickly becoming a FAILED NATION!'

The war, which began following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran in February, has had significant economic consequences.

Global markets have been rattled, energy prices have surged, and consumers worldwide are facing higher costs. Brent crude oil, the international benchmark, traded above $91 a barrel on Wednesday, up more than 25% since the conflict began.

The situation remains highly volatile, with diplomatic efforts uncertain and military operations continuing.
