A man was killed in Orange on Saturday night, June 13, after being intentionally struck by a vehicle following a physical altercation, according to the Orange Police Department. The incident occurred in the 600 block of South Fashion Park shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Officers responded to reports of a fight at that location, but the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Abrahan Perez of Orange, had already fled the scene before authorities arrived. However, Perez returned a short time later, driving back toward the same area.
Police said he maneuvered his vehicle onto a courtyard in front of an apartment complex and accelerated directly toward the victim. The vehicle struck the man, causing critical injuries.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Perez was taken into custody and is expected to be booked into the Orange County Jail on homicide charges.
The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of his family. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Orange Police Department.
