Who will Bass face in Los Angeles mayoral race in November?

Incumbent Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is leading in the primary election, but it remains unclear who she will face in the November runoff. Early results released Wednesday morning by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk show Bass with nearly 35% of the vote, followed by former reality TV star and outspoken critic Spencer Pratt at 30%, and progressive City Councilmember Nithya Raman at 22%.

Other candidates, Adam Miller and Rae Huang, trail with nearly 4% and nearly 2% of the vote, respectively. Election officials are expected to continue counting ballots and providing updates in the coming days.

In a post on X, Bass stated she has devoted her entire life to serving the city she loves, where she was born, and that she will continue to do so "all the way to victory in November." The runoff election will determine who leads Los Angeles for the next term.
