Suspect Killed by FBI After 15-Hour Hostage Standoff in Bakersfield

A man who held 10 people hostage inside an office building in Bakersfield, California, was shot and killed by FBI agents, ending a standoff that lasted more than 15 hours, police confirmed Wednesday.

The incident began on Tuesday morning when the suspect entered the building and took the hostages. Law enforcement, including the Bakersfield Police Department and the FBI, responded to the scene and established a perimeter.

After hours of negotiations, the situation escalated, and the FBI tactical team fatally shot the suspect.
