Celebrate the New Martis Valley Trail Segment

Placer County and the Northstar Community Services District invite the public to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 3, at noon to celebrate the opening of Segment 3F of the Martis Valley Trail. - The new 1.23-mile segment closes a mile-long gap between Northstar's Castle Peak parking lots and Northstar Village.

- The trail is part of a paved Class 1 system connecting Truckee to Northstar, with a previously completed 4.6-mile segment opened in August 2022. - The project was funded with approximately $10 million from transient occupancy tax through the TOT-TBID Dollars at Work program.

The celebration coincides with National Trails Day on June 6, highlighting the trail's role in sustainable recreation and mobility in North Lake Tahoe.
