Point Loma instructor named San Diego Unified’s High School Teacher of the Year

Noel Pomerleau, a teacher at Point Loma High School, has been named San Diego Unified School District High School Teacher of the Year for 2025-26. - She teaches physical education, yoga, biomedical science, and career-focused classes.

- Pomerleau has spent her entire 14-year career at PLHS and also serves as coach, advisor, and department chair. - She is pursuing a doctorate in educational psychology and emphasizes inclusive, interactive learning.

- The award recognizes her dedication to making learning fun and meaningful for students. Pomerleau says the honor has not changed her commitment to providing the best education possible.
