Driftwood Cross at Pismo Beach Captivates Millions, Inspires Deep Reflection

A simple cross built from driftwood on Pismo Beach has become a national phenomenon, inspiring faith and drawing visitors from across the country. The cross was discovered by local photographer "Pismo Mike" Bulen on March 20, who shared it with his large online audience.

It was later revealed to have been built by three teenagers from Lemoore on their senior skip day. Visitors have traveled to the site to pray, leave offerings, and experience its reported spiritual power.

After the city removed the cross post-Easter, Bulen retrieved it and is now seeking a permanent home, ideally with a church, to preserve its meaning. This spontaneous symbol has created a powerful, shared moment of community and reflection for countless individuals.
