Parlier Man Arrested for Attempted Homicide After Stabbing Outside Fresno Courthouse

A 25-year-old Parlier man has been arrested on charges of attempted homicide after a stabbing incident Tuesday afternoon outside the Fresno County Courthouse complex. According to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a disturbance between two men around 12:15 p.m.

in the area between the Hall of Records and the main Superior Courthouse. The altercation escalated, and one man collapsed after being stabbed multiple times.

Deputies working in the courthouse rushed to the scene and provided medical aid until an ambulance arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim is reported to be in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Witnesses identified the suspect, and deputies quickly took him into custody. The suspect has been identified as Alexander Resendiz of Parlier.

He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of attempted homicide. Investigators are still working to determine a motive and whether the two men knew each other.
