The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners has officially denied parole for former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs, who is serving a three-to-ten-year prison sentence for a fatal DUI crash that killed 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog. Ruggs, now 27, appeared before the board in May and expressed remorse, stating that he takes full responsibility for the pain he caused Tintor's family, friends, and the Las Vegas community.
The decision was released on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Ruggs pleaded guilty in 2023 to one felony count of DUI resulting in death and one count of vehicular manslaughter. According to court records and police reports, Ruggs was driving his Corvette Stingray at speeds up to 156 mph on Rainbow Boulevard just before the crash.
His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.16%, twice the legal limit in Nevada. The impact of the collision was so severe that Tintor's SUV caught fire, killing both her and her dog Max.
Currently incarcerated at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center, Ruggs will remain in custody as he continues to serve his sentence. The parole board's decision means he will not be eligible for release at this time.
The case drew widespread attention due to Ruggs' status as a former first-round NFL draft pick and the tragic loss of life involved.
