Los Angeles Mayor Election Results: Who Is Leading the June 2 Primary

Los Angeles voters headed to the polls on Tuesday, June 2, to decide the city's next mayor, with incumbent Karen Bass facing a crowded field of challengers including former reality TV star Spencer Pratt and city councilmember Nithya Raman. Polls closed at 8 p.m., and early results from mail-in ballots are expected to trickle in throughout the evening, with final counts continuing in the days ahead.

Bass, who was elected in 2022 after defeating businessman Rick Caruso, has faced scrutiny over her handling of the Palisades Fire last year, but has secured endorsements from former Vice President Kamala Harris, Magic Johnson, and major labor unions. Pratt, who lost his home in the Palisades Fire, has positioned himself as an outsider appealing to common sense, while Raman entered the race late, criticizing the city's administrative inefficiency and the mayor's homelessness program, Inside Safe.

Other candidates include nonprofit executive Adam Miller and progressive pastor Rae Huang. If no candidate wins a majority, the top two will face off in November.

Alongside the mayoral race, voters are deciding key city council seats, a county sales tax increase for healthcare, and two open seats on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. The winner will lead Los Angeles through the 2028 Summer Olympics.
