The Eureka boys' soccer team has mounted a strong comeback after a challenging start to the season, securing crucial victories against tough competition.
After dropping their first two matches to Calistoga and Cloverdale, followed by a narrow defeat to crosstown rival Arcata, the Loggers faced an uphill battle. However, head coach Tommy Learmouth noted that the team's camaraderie kept morale high. The squad quickly adjusted, rallying with dominant performances against South Fork and a hard-fought victory over McKinleyville.
Cooper Munson led the charge against McKinleyville with two early goals, while D'Alessandro Medina sealed the win with a decisive free kick. Coach Learmouth praised the defensive line, highlighting consistent plays from Jerome Everta, Grayden Larson, and Kyan Green. Goalkeeper Mason Beauchamp has also provided stability between the posts, giving the team confidence during intense moments.
