The City of Santa Clarita is proud to announce the opening of a new art exhibition, "Nature's Narratives" by local artist Zony Gordon, now on display at The MAIN located at 24266 Main Street. The exhibition will run through July 8, 2026, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Santa Clarita and the California coast through Gordon's contemporary Impressionist style.
Gordon's work features florals, scenic vistas, and recognizable local landmarks, all captured with expressive color and movement. The community is invited to a special reception on Thursday, June 18, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
at The MAIN, providing a unique chance to meet the artist and experience the exhibit firsthand.
Inspired by the abundance of gardens, open spaces, and wildlife that surround Santa Clarita, Gordon's paintings reflect moments of beauty and discovery. "I paint with an openness and readiness to be surprised by all I find, and interpret it with candor," she said.
Using watercolor and mixed media, she transforms familiar scenes into vibrant reflections of nature's wonder and vitality.
A longtime Santa Clarita resident, Gordon is an active leader in the local arts community. She previously served two terms as President of the Santa Clarita Artists Association and currently serves on the boards of both the Santa Clarita Artists Association and Women Painters West.
In addition to her work as a full-time artist, she is a dedicated art educator, volunteer, and mentor, teaching students of all ages and supporting local arts programs throughout the community.
Through "Nature's Narratives," Gordon invites viewers to slow down, appreciate the beauty of their surroundings, and reconnect with the natural landscapes that inspire her work. The featured artwork accompanying this exhibition is titled "A Pleasant Neighborhood" by Zony Gordon.
