As summer temperatures rise in Fresno, a local home services company is taking its community outreach on the road with a free ice cream truck. Lee's Air, Plumbing & Heating has launched a branded ice cream truck that will visit Fresno neighborhoods, community events, and local gathering spots to hand out free ice cream.
No purchase is required, and there are no strings attached.
According to the company, this is the first time a home services company in the Central Valley has rolled out a fully wrapped ice cream truck for such a tour. The initiative aims to bring joy to the community during the hot summer months.
"Our mission is to serve people — our customers, our coworkers, and our community — and have fun doing it," said Derek Franks, the company's chief operating officer. "An ice cream truck is about as fun as it gets.
We just want to show up in the neighborhoods we serve and do something good. It's hot outside — here's some ice cream, on the house."
Lee's is asking for the public's help in selecting stops for the ice cream truck. Requests can include block parties, children's birthdays, school events, or workplace surprises.
Residents can submit their suggestions at LeesIceCreamTruck.com or through Lee's social media channels.
"We want people to feel like this is their truck," said Josué Solis, Lee's vice president of marketing.
The truck has a schedule of planned stops, including: - Thursday, June 25: Boys & Girls Club — Zimmerman Club - Friday, June 27, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Sierra Vista Mall - Wednesday, July 2, 5 p.m.: Fancher Creek - Wednesday, July 9, 5 p.m.: Harlan Ranch - Wednesday, July 16, 5 p.m.: Carriage House Park - Friday, July 3, 5 p.m.: Crow & Wolf Brewing (First Friday) - Thursday, July 23: Chukchansi Park — Grizzlies Game (Time TBD)

The company hopes this initiative will strengthen its connection with Fresno residents and provide a refreshing treat during the summer heat.
