Empower Yolo has opened a new Community Clothing Closet in Woodland to meet growing clothing needs across Yolo County. - The program serves an average of 25 people daily, including survivors of domestic violence, low-income households, and unhoused individuals.
- In 2025 alone, 1,659 clients accessed the closet 6,345 times. - The project was made possible by donors including the Julia Burke Foundation and Pratt Construction, who completed work at cost.
The new standalone building includes a sorting room, bathroom, washer/dryer, and large distribution room, ensuring dignified service for all.
