The California Highway Patrol, in partnership with Ukiah Unified School District and regional law enforcement, will conduct emergency response training at Eagle Peak Middle School from June 23-25, 2026. - Training includes classroom and hallway drills in the morning and scenario-based exercises in the afternoon.
- Blank rounds will be used, causing loud noises audible from surrounding areas. - Emergency vehicles will be present; no actual emergency is occurring.
- The CHP is the lead agency and will coordinate notifications with partner agencies. Community members are advised that the activity is a planned training exercise and not a real emergency.
