World-renowned sculptor Eugene Daub to present free program at El Segundo Library

World-renowned sculptor Eugene Daub will present a free program at the El Segundo Public Library on June 11, 2026. The event, 'Sculpting Through History,' will feature a slideshow of his major works, including the first full-length statue of an African American in the U.S.

Capitol. - Daub created more than 40 major monuments of American icons, including Thomas Jefferson, Amelia Earhart, and Harvey Milk.

- He sculpted the Rosa Parks statue for the National Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol.

- His works are in the Smithsonian, British Museum, and other prestigious collections. - The event includes a Q&A and book signing of his new book, 'Eugene Daub: Portraits, Medals, and Monuments.' Attendees can view some of his works on display at the library throughout June.
