Valley Christian Captures 12th CCS Title with Shutout Victory Over Soquel

Valley Christian won its 12th CCS championship by shutting out Soquel in San Jose. The Athlete of the Week poll for May 25-30 features top baseball and track performers from across the region.

- Cooper Barnes threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts for De La Salle in the NCS Division I final. - Felix Chang went 3-for-3 with a triple and a homer for Archbishop Mitty in the CCS Division II title game.

- Francis Jacobsen won the shot put at the CIF state championships with a throw of 60-11 1/4. - Brady Tse won the 300-meter hurdles at the state championship meet.
