Four classic California golf courses have earned top spots in GolfWeek's 2026 rankings of 200 classic U.S. courses (designed before 1960).
- Cypress Point Club ranked 2nd, known as the 'Sistine Chapel of golf courses' with dramatic coastal views. - Pebble Beach Golf Links ranked 10th, a public course that has hosted more U.S.
Opens than any other in the last 50 years. - Los Angeles Country Club - North Course and Riviera Country Club also made the top 20.
- San Francisco Golf Club, near the Golden Gate Bridge, features a historic pine-forest landscape. California, with 961 golf courses, is second only to Florida in total courses, drawing golfers with its weather and diverse landscapes.
