Sheinbaum Rejects US Accusations Against Mexican Officials

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has strongly criticized accusations made by the United States against Mexican officials, asserting that Mexico will not accept foreign interference. The criticism follows an indictment by the New York prosecutor's office in April, which charged the governor and mayor of Sinaloa, along with eight other active and retired officials, with cooperating with the Sinaloa Cartel.

Sheinbaum stated that the allegations are unfounded and represent an unacceptable intrusion into Mexico's sovereignty. She emphasized that her administration will defend the integrity of Mexican institutions and will not tolerate external attempts to undermine them.

The case has strained bilateral relations, with Sheinbaum calling for dialogue based on mutual respect and cooperation.
