Santa Maria Man Arrested in Child Pornography Investigation

On May 28, 2026, detectives from the Santa Maria Police Department's Special Victims Unit arrested Eric Servin Perez, a 37-year-old Santa Maria resident, following a lengthy investigation into the possession of child pornography. The investigation was conducted in partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

During the investigation, detectives gathered evidence indicating that Perez was in possession of illicit material involving minors. Perez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on charges related to the possession of child pornography.
