Artist Larry Dierdorff's Paintings on Display at Redlands Art Association Gallery

Larry Dierdorff, a longtime Redlands resident and artist, is the featured artist at the Redlands Art Association Gallery through July 10, 2026, with an exhibit of his paintings. Dierdorff has worked in a variety of art forms over the decades, including wheel-thrown ceramics, stained glass, murals, and paintings on canvas.

According to a news release, he spent 50 years working in stained glass and ceramics and taught art at A.B. Miller High School in Fontana for 14 years.

He also taught a special education class at Mariposa Elementary School in Redlands for 22 years, where he used the arts to teach science and social studies.

Dierdorff has painted more than 200 murals across the Inland Empire. When not working on a mural commission, he turns to canvas.

Oranges are among his favorite subjects, and he also enjoys painting reflections in water and reflections of cars on the sides of vintage automobiles, according to the news release.

His exhibit at the Redlands Art Association Gallery, located at 215 E. State St., opened on June 13.

A reception is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. The gallery is also open from 11 a.m.

to 4 p.m. every Monday through Saturday.

Visitors can view a variety of his works, including a painting featured in the exhibit that showcases his distinctive style.

Dierdorff's career reflects a deep commitment to both creating art and teaching others. His work has left a significant mark on the region, from murals that brighten public spaces to classroom lessons that blend creativity with core subjects.
