Fort Hays State University (FHSU) has announced that Joshua Saenz, a resident of Quincy, has been named to the spring 2026 dean's honor roll. Saenz is one of 1,996 undergraduate students to achieve this distinction.
The dean's honor roll recognizes undergraduate students who have completed 12 or more credit hours and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.60 for the semester. Both full-time on-campus and online students are eligible for this honor.
In addition to his academic achievement, Saenz was among 1,732 graduates recognized during the May commencement ceremonies held at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and human performance.
Fort Hays State University, founded in 1902 as the Western Branch of Kansas State Normal School, was originally located on the grounds of Fort Hays, a nineteenth-century frontier military outpost. Today, FHSU is a regional comprehensive public university dedicated to developing engaged global citizen-leaders, according to the university.
