Mountain View voters head to polls on June 2 primary election day

June 2 is Election Day in California, and voters in Mountain View have just hours left to cast their ballots in the primary election. Polls are open from 7 a.m.

to 8 p.m., and anyone in line by 8 p.m. can still vote.

As of June 1, 19.78% of registered voters in Santa Clara County had returned their mail-in ballots, according to the county Registrar of Voters. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received within seven days after the election.

Voters can also drop off ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day at any authorized drop-off location in Santa Clara County.

Drop boxes in Mountain View are located outside City Hall at 500 Castro Street, the Mountain View Public Library at 585 Franklin Street, the Computer History Museum at 1401 N. Shoreline Boulevard, and the Mountain View Public Works sandbag entrance at 231 N.

Whisman Road. Polling places include the Chapel at the Church of Scientology Silicon Valley at 1066 Linda Vista Avenue, Redwood Hall at the Mountain View Community Center at 201 S.

Rengstorff Avenue, and Edwards Hall at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church at 2094 Grant Road.
