Los Flores Ranch Park, a popular outdoor destination in Santa Maria, is celebrating its 16th anniversary this Saturday with the launch of a new seven-day trail access program. The expansion, which opens the park's trails to the public every day of the week, marks a significant increase in recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

Previously, the park restricted trail access to specific days, but the new schedule allows for daily hiking, biking, and horseback riding from dawn to dusk. Park officials hope this change will encourage more people to explore the natural beauty of the 1,700-acre property, which features oak woodlands, rolling hills, and scenic vistas.

The anniversary celebration, scheduled for Saturday, will include guided nature walks, educational stations, and family-friendly activities. Attendees can learn about local wildlife, native plants, and the park's history.

Food vendors and live music will also be part of the festivities.

"We are thrilled to offer expanded access to our trails," said a park representative. "This is a wonderful way to mark 16 years of serving the community and to invite even more people to enjoy the outdoors."

The park, located at 6400 Foxen Canyon Road, is managed by the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department. It remains free to enter, though donations are accepted to support maintenance and programs.

The new trail schedule is effective immediately.
