Fresno Man Arrested for Stabbing His Father to Death

A 21-year-old Fresno man has been arrested and charged with murder after deputies say he stabbed his 79-year-old father to death at their home near Shaw and Grantland Avenues. The incident occurred around midnight on Saturday, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing and arrived at the scene to find Freeman Hunter III, the suspect, outside the residence. He was taken into custody without incident.

Inside the home, deputies and firefighters discovered the victim, later identified as Freeman Hunter Jr., suffering from stab wounds. Despite efforts to perform CPR, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Freeman Hunter III has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a murder charge, with bail set at $1 million. The motive for the homicide remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released details about what led to the attack.
