Starting June 12, children and teens in Long Beach can access free meals at over 60 locations through city and school district programs. City parks and libraries offer lunch on a first-come, first-served basis for ages 1–18; meals must be eaten on site.
LBUSD provides breakfast and lunch to students enrolled in summer learning programs. No registration or income verification is required; meals include chicken tenders, hamburgers, bean burritos, and more.
Service runs through August 24, with no meals on June 19 and July 3. The program served nearly 27,000 meals last summer.
