The Central Valley Community Foundation, in partnership with the Madera County Arts Council, is launching a project titled 'Celebrating 60 Years of People & Place' to mark its 60th anniversary. Artists from Madera, Mariposa, Fresno, Merced, Tulare, and Kings counties are invited to submit visual works inspired by local history.
- Eligible mediums include painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, fiber arts, ceramics, woodworking, glass, and other visual art forms. - Selected artists will compete for multiple awards of $1,500 plus materials.
- The application deadline has been extended to June 12. The project aims to create a lasting artistic record of the communities that have defined the Central Valley over the past six decades.
