The Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA) invites the community to a free forum on June 25 in West Sacramento to showcase the We Prosper Together CHW Workforce Pathway Pilot. This initiative creates career pathways for young BIPOC women while addressing community health needs.
- Interactive stations will cover program leadership, CHW career landscapes, job readiness training, youth advocacy, and barrier removal support. - The pilot targets 20 young BIPOC women in Davis, Woodland, and West Sacramento with an eight-week training curriculum.
- Partners include All Leaders Must Serve (ALMS) and Los Rios Community College District, providing mentorship, soft-skills training, and academic credentials. The forum is the first of two events; a second forum on September 10 will celebrate participant achievements and discuss the future of CHW pathways in Yolo County.
