A wrong-way driver caused a fatal crash on I-680 in Walnut Creek early Saturday morning. - The crash occurred around 11:20 p.m.
Friday on northbound I-680 near Oak Road. - A black Dodge Charger was driving south in the northbound lanes at high speed.
- Three vehicles were involved: the Charger, a Tesla, and a Toyota Prius; one person died. - All lanes were closed for several hours but reopened by 3:35 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
