Victorville Wellness Center credited for 68% homeless drop

Victorville has seen a 68% decrease in its unsheltered homeless population over two years, with overall homelessness at a six-year low. The Victorville Wellness Center, opened in December 2023, is credited for the decline.

- Unsheltered homeless count dropped from 326 in 2024 to 104 in 2026. - Overall homelessness decreased 28% from 611 to 441.

- 265 clients have graduated to permanent housing as of May 7. - The center is funded by a $28 million state grant and local sales tax.

The city now ranks third in San Bernardino County for homelessness, behind San Bernardino and Fontana.
