A fatal tractor trailer crash occurred Tuesday morning in Imperial County. - The crash happened around 4 a.m.
on State Routes 86 and 78 near Westmorland. - A 27-year-old man driving a Peterbilt truck struck the rear of a Kenworth truck, causing his trailer to overturn.
- The driver of the Peterbilt died at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt. - The driver of the Kenworth was uninjured.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
