The annual Flag Day fundraiser for Honor Flight Kern County returns on Sunday, June 14, at a new location in Tehachapi designed to be more accessible for veterans with mobility challenges. The event moves to P-Dubs Mountain Brewhouse and Bowl, a family-friendly venue with a bowling alley and brewery.
Last year's fundraiser raised $43,000, and this year's raffle includes three $1,000 gift baskets from Eagle Mountain Casino. No tickets are required; attendees can enter a raffle using business cards or blank cards provided on-site.
The monthly Honor Flight breakfast continues at Christian Life Assembly in Tehachapi, where veterans eat for free. The event aims to honor veterans and support Honor Flight Kern County's mission of flying veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials.
