The Career Technical Education Foundation Sonoma County raised over $350,000 at its ninth annual Spark the Future fundraiser, supporting career-connected learning programs for students across Sonoma County. More than 300 guests attended the event at The Backdrop in Santa Rosa, featuring student projects and hands-on training in fields like engineering, culinary arts, agriculture, and broadcast media.
Students from nine high schools participated, including Healdsburg High School, Casa Grande High School, and Sonoma Valley High School, showcasing their work in a Student Showcase presented by Redwood Credit Union. Three awards were presented: Casa Grande High School won the Culinary Award, Piner High School won the Innovation Award, and Sonoma Valley High School won the Spark the Future Award for metal fabrication.
The event highlighted the power of community support for career-connected learning, with every element of the evening powered by students.
