Sierra Nevada Conservancy to Consider Wildfire Resilience Projects

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) will meet June 3-4 in Weaverville to consider funding for wildfire resilience and recreation projects. - Nearly $1.5 million may be awarded for fuel reduction and fuelbreak projects in Mariposa and Nevada counties.

- Over $3 million may go to seven recreation projects in Butte, Kern, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Tehama, and Trinity counties. - New Landscape Grant Program guidelines could unlock $45 million from the Climate Bond for regional forest health projects.
