Sierra National Forest Reopens Four Campgrounds, Trail, and Road for 2026 Season

Sierra National Forest has reopened four campgrounds, 89 campsites, a trail, and a road for the 2026 summer season. - Granite Creek and Fresno Dome campgrounds on the Bass Lake Ranger District offer a combined 60 sites.

- Catavee and Upper Billy Creek campgrounds on the High Sierra Ranger District add 29 more sites. - Barnes Mountain Road and trail are also open for travel and exploration.

Forest officials thank contractors and crews for their work in making the sites safe and ready for public use.
