Shore Fire Grows to 2,600 Acres Near Calimesa, Triggering Evacuations in Riverside County

The Shore Fire in Riverside County has burned 2,600 acres and is 25% contained as of Tuesday morning. Evacuation orders and warnings are in effect near Calimesa.

- Fire started Monday at 3 p.m. near San Timoteo Canyon Road.

- Evacuation orders issued for areas between San Timoteo Canyon Road and the Moreno Valley Freeway. - An evacuation center is open at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley.

- Over 250 personnel and multiple air tankers are assigned to the fire. Fire crews continue to battle the blaze in rugged terrain, and the cause remains under investigation.
