S.F. School Board Questions Principal's Ouster

Two San Francisco school board commissioners raised questions about the forced resignation of Vidrale Franklin, principal of Dr. Charles R.

Drew College Preparatory Academy in Bayview. - Franklin, a Black woman and community member, was forced to resign despite rising test scores and literacy rates.

- Supporters, including parents, teachers, and the NAACP, called for her reinstatement at Tuesday's board meeting. - Commissioners Alida Fisher and Matt Alexander said the district should investigate systemic failures.

- Franklin received an email Wednesday canceling her summer assignment at the school. The board did not address the issue during the meeting, but Fisher and Alexander pledged to revisit Franklin's treatment.
