10 June 2026 11:50

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the East Bay Hills and North Bay Mountains due to dangerous fire weather conditions. The warning is in effect from 11 p.m.

Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday.

- Low humidity levels between 10% and 20% create extremely dry conditions. - Strong offshore winds with gusts up to 40 mph, and over 60 mph on ridge tops.

- Any new fire ignition could spread rapidly and exhibit extreme behavior. - Residents are urged to avoid spark-producing activities and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately.

The warning covers parts of Contra Costa, Alameda, Napa, and Sonoma counties, as Northern California experiences warm, dry weather that increases vegetation fire susceptibility.
