A court has issued a significant financial judgment against the man convicted of killing Kristin Smart. Paul Flores was ordered to pay over $346,000 in restitution to the Smart family.
The hearing was conducted via Zoom with Flores appearing from prison. This follows his conviction and life sentence for the 1996 murder of the Cal Poly student.
The restitution order represents a continued effort to secure justice for the Smart family decades after Kristin's disappearance.
