A Madera County man has been released on bail after being arrested for allegedly secretly recording guests at his Oakhurst short-term rental property. Christian Parmalee Edwards, 44, is charged with a felony for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Investigators seized over 30 devices containing thousands of files and say videos show 10-15 women and at least one child filmed without consent. Edwards had listed the property on rental platforms since July 2025.
Authorities are now working with companies like Airbnb and VRBO to identify potential victims, who have not yet come forward.
