The Mendocino County Fire Safe Council has awarded $122,000 in micro-grants to 14 local organizations for wildfire safety projects. - Projects include emergency water supplies, communication upgrades, fuel reduction, and community education.

- In Point Arena, a new tool-lending library allows residents to check out weed wrenches to remove invasive plants. - Funding comes from Measure P tax dollars and a $40,000 contribution from the Mendocino County Fire Chiefs Association.

The grants, ranging from $2,000 to $12,500, were selected based on community collaboration, risk reduction, and clear budgets.
