Memorial Day ceremonies will be held across Plumas County on Monday, May 25, organized by local American Legion and VFW posts to honor fallen service members. - Portola American Legion and VFW will hold a ceremony at Shady Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m., with additional ceremonies at Doyle Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
and Milford Cemetery at 3 p.m. - Greenville/Indian Valley American Legion Post 568 will conduct ceremonies at multiple locations including Greenville Cemetery, Crescent Mills Cemetery, and Taylorsville Cemetery.
- Quincy Kenneth M. Hays VFW Post 3825 will participate in a ceremony at Dame Shirley Plaza at 10 a.m.
and place flags on veteran graves. The events are coordinated by the Plumas County Veterans Services Office to honor those who gave their lives in service to the country.
