Massive Julian Rescue: 160+ Horses Get Critical Care

A massive animal rescue operation in Julian, California, has provided urgent medical treatment to over 160 horses and farm animals. - 76 horses had their teeth floated and 83 received farrier services for hoof care.

- Relocation efforts moved animals to the Humane Farming Association's Suwanna Ranch in Elk Creek. - 17 horses, 4 cats, and 2 dogs have been reunited with previous owners.

- Over 700 animals have been rescued since May 1, including 446 cats and 175 horses. The San Diego Humane Society continues to process over 150 reunification requests and provide ongoing care.
