The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office has established a new specialized unit to tackle drug-related crime. The Mariposa Interdiction and Narcotics Team (MINT) will target the trafficking of fentanyl, meth, and heroin.
The unit consists of detectives and deputies focused on investigative and enforcement actions. Sheriff Jeremy Briese cited the local drug crisis as the impetus for creating the team.
