A Lompoc man was sentenced to life in prison without parole for using a blowtorch to set his father on fire in 2022. The victim died 10 days later from septic shock.
The jury convicted the defendant of first-degree murder with a torture special circumstance. The dog injured in the attack survived and was adopted.
