LAUSD Sued Over Teacher's Aide Sexual Abuse

18 May 2026 10:56

A 39-year-old man has filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles Unified School District, alleging a female teacher's aide sexually abused him when he was a 13-year-old student at Francis Parkman Middle School in Woodland Hills. - The abuse allegedly began in summer 2000 during a beach outing and continued through his eighth-grade year until 2001.

- The aide, then in her mid-20s, worked as a teaching assistant in his art class and manipulated him into believing they were in a relationship. - The lawsuit claims the art teacher and other LAUSD employees knew or should have known about the misconduct but failed to report it.

- LAUSD declined to comment on the pending litigation.
