The Los Angeles County Superior Court has raised bail to $1.4 million for Alexander Schecter, accused of kidnapping two UCLA students and raping a woman. - Schecter allegedly trapped two students in his vehicle in Westwood on March 8, threatening them when they refused to let him inside.

- He is also charged with raping a woman in October 2025, withholding her wallet and demanding oral sex for its return. - Judge Cathryn Brougham raised bail from $700,000 due to the threat to the community and Schecter's ability to pay.
